Jamie
Larsen Thomas is a New York City-based singer/songwriter.
His debut CD, Hell's Kitchen Serenade, falls
into the genre he calls Polk music, a combination of Pop and
Folk. Growing up in Bergen County, New Jersey, his early musical
influences came from the original Fab Four, The Beatles. He
learned to sing harmony while singing along with his sisters'
Beatles 45s. The first album he received was James Taylor's
"Sweet Baby James", as a gift from his uncle. The
Carpenters' "Close to You" was one of the first
albums he purchased on his own. Jamie also cites Fleetwood
Mac, The Eagles, Kate Bush, and Siouxsie and the Banshees
as influences.
